This is our finla clip. The idea is that I take a picture of the Cuba St fountain with a virtual pen which I fold into a dart and send to my friend in England. On route it travels around the world. I think this is a nice way of putting a tangible form to something like emailing, social networking or blogging. -modern communication. Of course paper planes dont fly around the world, this just gives...

so far Dan has been working on Google Earth and from what Ive seen look really great.
I have taken the photos neccessary for th Clip. now the labourious process of photoshopping out the BG out. hmm. late nite me thinks..
new day. new idea.
okay 1 more day till the 101 th’ Clip project is due. its painting it thin but we have taken a new idea on our clip.
we will still go with the idea of paper planes. which was what was going best for the project. what we are omitting is the concept of the plane and its POV. this is what made the aesthetic quality weak. also gone is the ‘Im leaving you’ message. again very weak....

so today reshot some of my scenes. reshot the first scene in the kitchen at my house in Newtown. thankyou Hayley for being such a great help and hand model.
I also shoot the last secne of the clip. I have changed the idea. Instead of a slap in the face the guy opens the dart and the words appear. in sucession. Im. Leaving. You.

beautiful Saturday morning. Dan and I are going to reshoot some the Cuba St scene (as I write he is constructing a new plane).
As mentioned in the last blog we hope to gain more continuity with the planes flying. also we will add more details. I mentioned in the last blog about the plane crashing and someone picking it up and re throwing it.

yesterday Daniel and I went and shot a new sequence for th’ clip. we discussed with our tutor, Daniel, our progress. we agreed that our planes action in the clip needed something more. as you can see when the plane flies through Cuba St it remains quite static. the plane needs character in its movements. you can see in the scene we we shot on Thursday that the plane expresses more of this...
here is the rig in action. it came about differently from the sketch that I posted yesterday. the original rig gave me grief. this rig is simply just wire that runs down the base crease of the plane with a molded grip so you can direct the planes movements.
